afonso borges graduated in communication design at the school of fine art and concluded masters degree in industrial design at the faculty of engineering, university of porto. between 1996 and 2001 was general coordinator of design, video and sound by porto editora, having won numerous awards.
since 2002 collaborates with the ubi - university of beira interior - where he is an invited member of the board of faculty, and responsible for project and infographics disciplines in the design course. since 2009 also cooperates with lectures and workshops in esad's communication and multimedia master course. as a researcher of the labcom communication laboratory, is developing more recently research in the area of simplification in design and being the author of the thesis simplification and reduction: a possible return to normality, 2008.
